1. Modifications or changes of these terms and conditions
Rental in Sicily reserves the right to amend, change or cancel any part of these terms and conditions without notice.
Rental in Sicily offers a service of touristic information about Sicily and in particular the Gulf of Castellammare, department of Trapani, offering a wind range of holiday villas, apartments and giving the chance to meet the offers of the owners of the apartments and the requests/ needs of tourists.
When you send an enquiry or make a booking with us you guarantee that you have the authority to accept, and do accept, on behalf of your party (listed on the holiday voucher) the terms of these booking conditions. The person dealing with the booking with Rental in Sicily accepts the responsibility for paying for all people on the Holiday Voucher and keeping everyone informed of the booking details.
Your contract with Rental in Sicily is made once one of the following steps has been completed:
» When you subscribe for Rental in Sicily.com newsletters.
» When you send requests or making bookings with us.
» At any time when you correspond with Rental in Sicily.com
This contract is governed by Italian Law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the Italian Court at all times.
Once the availability has been confirmed, you need to pay your reservation to secure the property.
We will issue a Sales Invoice with all our bank details, our personal information and booking references. If you feel happy about the booking details, you can choose to make a payment with one of the following options:

5. General booking conditions:
An apartment is considered booked ONLY after receiving our official booking confirmation (voucher) by email or by fax:
- When a client books a property he/she implicitly accepts our cancellation policy and states that he/she read and understood the description of the property and considers it is suitable for his/her needs;
- The booking procedure requires that we receive a copy of the receipt of deposit payment. The remaining balance can only be paid in EURO CASH on the client’s arrival at the apartment at the owner of the house. The guests must bring the reservation voucher (sent by our staff by e-mail or by fax when the reservation has been confirmed);
6. Standard booking procedure:
A) Verify the availability filling in the online request form or simply send us an e-mail or eventually send us the request by fax or call us. All the furnitures, price of any singol apartament are indicated at the section of the website "House for rent";
B) Following a client’s request, we will send a booking form that will have to be filled in and at this point the client will have to choose the payment method for the deposit. We need confirmation within 48 hours
The client must send us the booking forms back, by e-mail or fax, along with a copy of the receipt of deposit payment within 48 hours;
C) Once we send the booking form, the apartment is temporarily blocked for 48 hours. If we do not receive the booking form and a confirmation (copy of the deposit payment) within 48 hours, we do not furthermore guarantee the apartment’s availability.
D) The apartment is considered booked only once we send the booking confirmation or email confirmation.
7. Check-in/check-out times
To make an appointment for the accommodation we need to know the flight details or the expected arrival time at the apartment at least 3-2 days in advance.
Check in time after midnight are possible with a fee of €50 payment.
We kindly ask the guests to inform us about any eventual delay on arrival time.
- in case of cancellation with less than 30 days notice before the arrival the client will have to pay the full amount amount of the booked stay.
b) if the agency cancels:
- in the rare occasion in which unforeseen circumstances force the agency to cancel the apartment’s reservation, the client can choose to book another apartment with similar characteristics among our offers;
- in case that the alternative options do not fit the client’s needs, we will refund the total deposit amount and Rental in Sicily will have no further liability;
however, in the case of one of the above described events, we committed ourselves in providing an apartment with the same or higher characteristics of the originally booked apartament.apartment with the same or higher characteristics of the originally booked aartment.
9. Security deposit:
for some apartments a security deposit against damages is required. This deposit is usually not higher than 200€ in case of short terms rentals and 400€ in case of long term rentals or in case of apartments with particular prestigious furniture.
If at the check out time everything in the apartment is in order, the total amount of the security deposit will be fully refunded. Generally the security deposit has to be paid on your arrival in cash (in Euro) at the owner of the apartment.
10. Apartment conditions:
- The client is responsible for any damage procured to the furniture or any other object during the stay inside the apartment;
- If during check in time the client find something broken or not working properly in the apartment, he/she must immediately give notice about the problem at the owner of the house;
- The group leader, whose name appears in the booking confirmation, is the person responsible in case of any damage;
- For any questions about the furniture of the apartment, for any requests or if something happens during the stay, the guest must give notice at the owner of the house;
- The keys will be collected by the client inside the apartment during check in and must be returned at the owner or one of his/her representatives during check out.
11. Apartment’s description:
The description of the apartments have been made faithfully and correspond to truth.
12. Pets:
pets of any kind and size are accepted only upon request.
13. Number of people:
The number of the people indicated during the reservation procedure cannot be changed during the period of stay. Eventual extra guests – if not communicated in advance- will cause the voucher cancellation or an addition price at the owner of the apartment.
14. Thefts/damages:
Rental in Sicily is not responsible for any thefts or personal injures against the guests inside our apartments. For this reason we strongly recommend underwriting a travel insurance.eason we strongly suggest underwriting a travel insurance.
15. Privacy:
All the customer’s information is strictly private and shall be used only for commercial reasons within the Rental in Sicily limits according to the Personal Data Protection Code Legislative Decree no.196 of 30 June, 2003
None of the personal data provided such as address, phone number, etc will be granted to outsiders, and all the personal data will be secretly treated to ensure customer’s privacy.
16. Applicable Law:
These booking conditions are subject to the Italian Law. In case of any dispute the Court of Rome will be the only competent body. We reserve the right to make changes to parts of this document.
17. Car Hire
Rental in Sicily is partner affiliated with rental car, rental boat companies in Castellammare del Golfo and Alcamo and you can book your most suitable car or boat giving us notice. We can provide for you the better price. In any case, we are not responsible for any transactions or services you will book with them.
18. Complaints
We will be glad to assist you during the stay in Castellammare del Golfo or Alcamo Marina, giving you the good information and suggestions to visit our coast.
